DEVICE FOR MOUNTING PLASTIC-MADE DUST COVER OF DISC BRAKE

PURPOSE:To keep the mounted state of a dust cover good, by clamping the dust cover with bolts and washers on an unrotary member in a mounting device so that the peripheral portions of the washers are brought into pressure contact with the portions of the dust cover around its mounting holes under a prescribed preload. CONSTITUTION:A disc rotor 2 is turned together with a wheel around a shaft 6 secured on a knuckle 4. A dust cover 8 extends along the inside of the disc rotor 2 and is secured on the knuckle 4 by a mounting device 10. The cover 8 is provided with an appropriate number of mounting holes 12 around a shaft insertion hole 14. The knuckle 4 is provided with female screws 16 in positions corresponding to the mounting holes 12. Bolts 22 are inserted through plate spring washers 18, spring whasers 20 and the mounting holes 12 and driven into the female screws 16 to mount the cover 8 on the knuckle 4.
