Non-return system for any outflow pipeline which is neither pulsed nor sucked and comprising: a float 1, coming to rest on a land 2 obstructing the pipeline when there is backflow. In normal operation, the float 1 is retained by an end-of-travel limit 3. These three components are located in a module 4 which is specially designed for the type of pipeline to be protected. This module 4 may be an existing pipeline of the siphon type into which the components 1, 2 and 3 will have been inserted. The device according to the invention is intended to guarantee against any overflow brought about by a backflow due to a blocked drain or to pressure generated by a large mass of discharged liquid. The device regulates the outflow and deadens the noise thereof. <IMAGE>
