The invention relates to a vertically adjustable platform as can be found, for example, as a seat frame in a vertically adjustable motor-vehicle seat. In order to be able to design the drive element for the vertical adjustment in a simple, easy and cost-effective manner, links are provided which connect the platform to a base and can transmit large forces when required. In this arrangement, one guide link each and one locking link each interact in a triangular assembly. If the locking link is locked to the locking link articulated on it, a rigid assembly results which can transmit high compressive and tensile forces. During the vertical adjustment, the locking elements are unlocked and move linearly in a positively guided manner by the locking link via an articulation point in the base. <IMAGE>
