Splash protection device used on goods trestles 4 for surface-treatment baths, comprising a plate 1 which can move vertically, with a buoyancy body 2 at its lower end. The buoyancy body 2, which is basically plate-shaped and made integral with plate 1 and directed in guideways along its edges. The guideways 3 are fixed to the bath wall near a goods trestle 4. When there is no goods rail in position, or it is raised from the goods trestle 4, the protective device floats up and prevents the goods trestle 4 from being splashed by liquid from the bath, or by liquid dripping from the goods. To improve the protection procedure even more, a foldable covering section 6 is arranged on the outside of the protection part 1, and this covering the section folds out over the upper side of the goods trestle when the protective device 1 is raised by the liquid's buoyancy force, while it folds towards the protective device 1 in the event of a downwards movement caused by a goods rail 8. <IMAGE> |
