摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the performance deterioration due to the thermal cycle by performing the bending processing on the peripheral section of mask plates and gas passage sections, storing the tiles clamped by adjacent separators in a nearly enclosed space, and applying to the tiles a compression load in the vertical direction to the face of the tiles. CONSTITUTION:Cathodes 3 and anodes 4 are stored in mask plates 2 on both sides of separators 1 respectively, separators 1 and tiles 5 are stacked in turn, an upper holder 6 and a lower holder 7 are arranged at the upper end and the lower end respectively, a compression load 8 is applied to inside laminated bodies in the vertical direction to the face of tiles from the upper holder 6 and the lower holder 7 of a fuel cell. Oxidized gas 13 and fuel gas is fed through the operating gas feed port 12 of the lower holder respectively, the oxidized gas 13 is guided to the cathodes 3 side through gas passage sections 10 and the fuel gas is guided to the anodes 4 side. As the operation proceeds, the temperature in the cell is increased, and the tiles 5 are softened. The horizontal material flow occurs on the tiles 5 softened by the compression load, and cracks in the tiles 5 disappear. Accordingly, the performance deterioration due to the thermal cycle is prevented.
