摘要 In a pouring and cooling line consisting of an apron conveyor, the heated plates are not cooled sufficiently during the return leg. When the plates were filled with material to be cooled, some were overfilled and there were losses due to material flowing between the individual plates. Furthermore, the service lives of the plates were insufficient, due to overheating. The new device is intended to eliminate these defects. The plates (2) each have a bulbous front edge (5), vertical side edges (12) and a levelled-off rear edge. The flat rear part of each plate comes to rest on the bulb (5) of the following plate. At the tail end (8), the plates (2), which are fastened at one end (6, 7) to the flat-link articulated chain (3) of the apron conveyor (1) tilt over and hang vertically. A stripper (10) ensures that the plates (2) are cleaned off completely. On the lower half of the conveyor, the plates (2) pass through a cooling bath (11), which may contain a lime slurry for coating the plates, for example. At the end of the conveyor (9), the plates (2) are tilted back again. Applications include cooling liquid calcium carbide. <IMAGE>
