Compression refrigeration machine with an encapsulated motor compressor unit and a refrigeration circuit, in which there are situated one behind the other a condenser, a throttling capillary and an evaporator which is equipped with an injection and intake point for the refrigerant lying at the uppermost point of its duct system, the liquid refrigerant collecting in the lower region of the evaporator forming a vapour barrier with a liquid level located in the rising branches of the refrigerant ducts. In this case, the vertical branches 20, 21 lying on both sides of the vapour barrier are connected by a connection duct 22 which is situated above the liquid level and with the aid of which a pressure difference, which is established during the standing phase between the regions in front of and behind the liquid refrigerant on the evaporator bottom as a result of the air quantities present there, is compensated. <IMAGE>
