In a brake system with slip control essentially comprising a pedal-operated vacuum booster (3) with a dual circuit master cylinder (2), to which the wheel brakes (33, 34) of the front wheels are connected by way of brake lines (53, 61), a servo pressure source (62) with a hydraulic pump (26), with a pressure equalising and pressure medium reservoir (20), and wheel sensors (S1, S2, S3, S4) and electronic control circuits (44) for detecting the wheel spin behaviour and for generating electrical brake pressure control signals, by means of which solenoid-operated pressure medium inlet valves (29, 38, 39) and outlet valves (30, 35, 36), inserted into the brake lines (53, 61) and into the inlet line (40) connected to a servo pressure source (62), can be controlled for the purpose of slip control, a valve (23) is provided for regulating the servo pressure, which adjusts the pressure in the inlet line (40) to the pressure in the pressure chambers (8, 9) of the master cylinder (2). The wheel brakes (31, 32) of the rear wheels are jointly connected by way of the inlet valve (29) to the inlet line (40) forming the III brake circuit. The wheel brakes (33, 34) of the front wheels are connected to the two static brake circuits (I and II), into which non-return valves (27, 28) can be inserted. <IMAGE>
