Circuit for dynamic compression or expansion in a useful-signal path (compander), which contains in a number of separate frequency bands (T, M, H) a number of FETs (F1-F6) in each case for the useful-signal path and a branched path. According to the invention, the FETs (F1-F6) of all paths and frequency bands are arranged on a common semiconductor substrate, implemented in particular by means of an IC. This results in a large degree of correspondence of all FETs for one circuit.
