PURPOSE:To handily allow charging by fitting solar cells for charging the secondary cell on its peripheral wall. CONSTITUTION:A solar cell 3 is composed of the first and second amorphous Si solar cells 3a, 3b having PN junction, and they are wound in parallel on the peripheral wall of a nickel-cadmium cell 2 respectively. The first amorphous Si solar cell 3a is connected to the anode side of a countercurrent preventing diode 4, and the cathode side of the diode 4 is connected to the positive electrode 2a of the nickel-cadmium cell 2. In addition, the first amorphous Si solar cell 3a is connected to the cathode side of an overcurrent preventing Zener diode 5, the anode side of the diode 5 is connected to the second amorphous Si solar cell 3b and the negative electrode 2b of the nickel-cadmium cell 2, and both amorphous Si solar cells 3a, 3b are connected. Therefore, charging can be handily performed by utilizing the solar light with no consideration on directivity. |
