An apparatus for the cold-drawing of tubes, which has a drawing die provided with a tapered drawing hole and a plug, connected to a plug bar, which is inserted into the drawing hole to form a drawing gap, is, according to the invention, designed in such a way that the drawing die (1) is provided with a positioning device (3). A longitudinal displacement of the plug (2) or plug bar in the direction of the drawing die (1) is thereby limited. Compared with the positioning of the plug as known hitherto, namely by displacing the plug bar according to visual judgement, accurate and rapid positioning is now possible. Positioning of the plug can now also be performed outside a drawing bench which accommodates the apparatus, thus lowering the overall set-up and production costs. <IMAGE>
