PURPOSE:To cope with various display systems of a both-eye parallax system 3D-TV by compressing the video signals obtained from each camera into the 1/n-line length from the 1-line length in terms of the time base and storing these 1/n-line signals in terms of the change with time to obtain the 1-line signals and recording these 1-line signals. CONSTITUTION:A time base compressing device 26 compresses a signal of 1-line length into the 1/2-line length and stores a right-eye image signal ER and a left-eye image signal EL of outputs of cameras 1 and 2 within a line in terms of the change with time. Thus these both image signals are recorded by a VTR 27 as signals 29. In a reproduction mode, the output of the VTR 27 is turned into the signal 29 and therefore used as it is in a display system. While signals 29 are turned again into original signals ER and EL and added to various display systems of a both-eye parallax system. Thus a 3D-TV image is obtained. These TV images can be preserved just with a single piece of tape (in a VTR recording mode) since the signal 29 containing both signals ER and EL is used for recording and storing. |
