1. A rolling plant for rolling particularly flat steel, comprising at least three rolling mill stands (2, 3), which are combined in a rolling mill block (1) and comprise pairs of smooth rolls (4, 5), which pairs extend at right angles to each other and are adapted to be individually driven and symmetrically adjustable into engagement with respect to the axis of the stock being rolled, and wherein those pairs of rolls (5) which are associated with the narrow faces of the flat steel cooperate with rolled stock guides (18), which are adjustable in the direction of the axes of the rolls and serve to guide the broadsides of the flat steel, characterized in that all rolling mill stands (2, 3) of the rolling mill block (1) are reversible, that the rolled stock guides (18) are disposed in front of and behind the associated pairs of rolls (5) and are individually adjustably symmetrically with respect to the axis of the stock being rolled, and that the roll drives (7, 9), the drives (15) for adjusting the rolls, and the drives (19) for adjusting the rolled guides (18) are adapted to be activated by means of a numerical control system (25) so as to reverse the direction of travel for a continued reduction in accordance with a predetermined rolling programme after each pass of the rolled stock through the rolling mill block (1). |
