An endosteal blade implant (1) includes a columnar neck portion (8) formed in a notch (7) on the upper edge (6) of the blade. The upper edge slants upwardly from the notch to the intersections of the upper edge with the side edges (16,17) of the implant. Atop the columnar neck portion is a head (9) for attaching the blade to an adaptor, a dental prosthesis, or other dental superstructure.
