In the invention the blood bags are inserted in cups and the openings provided in the edge region of the blood bags are suspended from bolts which are either rigidly arranged on a central part of the mounting or moveably on pivotable jaws. The weight-loaded jaws are pivotably arranged on the mounting via bent legs and press down on the edge region of the blood bags under the action of centrifugal force. At increasing centrifugation speed, there is an increasingly rigid clamping connection between the blood bags and the mounting.
