<p>PURPOSE:To prevent dynamic resolution from deteriorating by driving a magnetic recording medium intermittently for every odd field at a standard speed for a one-field period and recording the video signal of one corresponding field while the magnetic recording medium is driven. CONSTITUTION:In frame-by-frame shot mode, a video tape is run stepwise intermittently at the standard tape speed at intervals of odd fields, i.e. 2n+1 (n: integer) fields to record corresponding fields of a video signal during the tape run. When the video signal of, for example, every (n=2)th, i.e. 5th field is recorded, every 5th field is recorded so that a field 1b of the video signal is recorded and then a field 4a which are five fields later is recorded. For the purpose, the video tape is driven at the standard speed only in periods of the fields 1b, 4a... and stopped in other periods. Consequently, there is no deviation between head tracking and playback track tracking at the time of reproduction, and the dynamic resolution of a playback signal is prevented from deteriorating.</p> |
