Provision is made for vertically pivotable working arms to be arranged on a mobile floating body. The working arms rest with their bottom end on the bed of the body of water. Individual nozzles are arranged at the bottom end of the working arms or a discharge opening is arranged at the bottom end of the working arms in order to agitate the deposited sludge by feeding water under pressure and additionally supplying oxygen and if need be chemical additives.
