The invention relates to an aircraft having devices which are arranged in a separate equipment bay and are to be cooled, and having an air inlet for trapping ram air for an air-conditioning system or the like. One or more openings are provided in the wall of the air inlet and are connected to the equipment bay. This results in the heat from operation being extracted from the equipment bay. If the air inlet has control flap valves for controlling the mass flow rate of the inlet, the openings are arranged in such a manner that the air flow which is branched off is also controlled by these flap valves. <IMAGE>
