摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To generate a TV signal having a long aspect ratio by superimposing a signal different from a TV signal in double band or a band symmetrical to that of a residual wave of the TV signal subjected to residual-side band amplitude modulation. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal Y obtained from a signal picking up by a camera larger than an existing aspect ratio enters a signal distributer 2 and is distributed to a time base expansion circuit 3 and an adder 13. The circuit 3 applies time base expansion to an image pickup signal corresponding to a part displayed on a screen an existing TV receiver. Then remaining color difference signal components other than the signals I, Q expanded by time base expansion circuits 6, 9 among color difference signals I, Q distributed by signal distributers 5, 8 is modulated by a balanced modulation circuit 12 and added to the distributed output of the distributer 2 by the adder 13. The output of the adder 13 is subjected to time base expansion 14 and a carrier wave P2 being the result of 90 deg. phase shift 19 from a carrier wave P1 at the modulator 20 is subjected to double-side band amplitude modulation. On the other hand, the output of the adder 11 applies amplitude modulation 16 to the carrier P1. The obtained amplitude modulation wave is synthesized with the modulation wave from the modulator 20 by the adder 22.</p>
