VACCINIA VIRUS STRAIN

摘要

PURPOSE:To increase the proliferation property of the titled strain and lower neuropathogenic property, by preparing a vaccinia virus strain having pock size, plaque size in RK13 cell and proliferation property in YTV cell equal or close to those of LO strain. CONSTITUTION:At least a part of HindIIID region in the gene of a parent mutant is subjected to recombination substitution treatment with a HindIIID fragment of a gene of vaccinia virus Lister original (LO) strain to obtain a mutant of vaccinia virus. the mutant has a pock size, plaque size in RK13 cell and proliferation property in YTV cell equal or close to those of the LO strain and has lower neuropathogenicity than LO strain determined by the recovery of virus in brain.
