PURPOSE:To execute a high speed processing by buffering raster data with a main scanning line unit by the shape of a changing point, comparing it with the changing point of the main scanning line of a preceding row to generating a contour. CONSTITUTION:A changing point detecting device 1 detects the black and white changing point for a main scanning line and stores a coordinate value (X) to a buffer 3. The outline vector of a binary image can be formed from the position relation of the changing point for two main scanning lines and a changing point comparator 4 generates the outline vector of two scanning lines. Concerning all main scanning lines, the processing is successively executed and the outline image obtained is generated. The contour vector obtained for a main scanning line is approximated by referring to a table to store an approximate error and written to the table to store the contour vector. Further, labelling is executed concerning the approximate vactor, the result is written into the table and the classification and deletion of the isolated noise are executed. |
