PURPOSE:To attain high speed inter-computer communication through LAN by inserting a channel control command including the second control command in a header of data by a protocol changing mechanism in a communication controlling mechanism, outputting the result to a control device directly connected to a channel. CONSTITUTION:When transmission request is received from an applied program 4a, a communication control mechanism 5a in a host computer 1a makes transmitting process such as insertion of a channel control command (the first control command) etc. into a header, then examines whether communication route to the destination is a communication circuit or LAN. In case of LAN, former communication control procedure is applied with protocol conversion to convert it LAN control procedure by a protocol converting mechanism 6a, and an LAN control command is inserted to the header as the second control command to control LAN directly for transmission data in which a channel control command is set as the first control command, then outputted to a channel 12. A LAN controlling device 20 transmits to LAN 30 by a LAN control command which is the second control command. |
