<p>PURPOSE:To reduce downtime in a copying machine, by installing a drive cutting device which cuts off drive transmission relation to a conveying roller pair in a second conveying passage. CONSTITUTION:When a sensor 19 detects a fact that a paper jam occurs in a copy sheet in a second conveying passage 5, each solenoid clutch of a pair of conveying rollers 13 and 14 is turned off with this detection signal. If so the drive transmission relation to these period conveying rollers 13 and 14 from a gear pulley 20 is cut off, whereby these paired rollers 13 and 14 are stopped. On the other hand, each solenoid clutch of other paired rollers 10, 11 and 12 continue to come on, thus rotation of these paired rollers is continued. Therefore, at a first conveying passage 4, copy sheet conveyance comes to continue in consequence, so that the copy sheet is discharged to an intermediate tray 3 in succession, thus filing of the copy sheet is successively performed.</p> |
