PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of producing a sliver for construction by forming a base material for the same by using entirely another technique thereby eliminating the need for deburring and simplifying the process. CONSTITUTION:A round bar-shaped steel material 1 is made to the length equivalent to two pieces of a product and is sheared along the line 2 which inclines slightly from the longitudinal direction of the round bar steel material and is curved at both ends toward the outside along the suitable length at the center thereof. Two pieces of base materials 3 having the same shape are formed and since the sliver is formed by the conventional method by using the materials 3, the need for deburring is eliminated and the process is simplified; moreover, the materials are applied the cold working and therefore there is no change in the quality thereof and the formation of scale owing to heating is obviated. |
