NEW MATERIAL:A T-cell activation factor that has following physical and chemical properties: molecular weight: 16,100 (according to the SDS-PAGE method), isoelectric point: 9.3+ or -0.3 (according to the chromato-focusing method), amino acid composition (hydrolyzed with 6N hydrochloric acid at 110 deg.C under reduced pressure for 20hr and determined using an amino acid analyzer in mol%): Ala; 1.00, Arg; 0.74, Asp/Asn; 0.32, Glu/Gln; 0.71, Gly: 1.11, His; 0.22, Ile; 0.35, Leu; 0.97, Lys; 0.79, Met; 0.14, Phe; 0.11, Pro; 0.34, Ser; 0.47, Thr; 0.33, Tyr; 0.19 and Val; 0.52. USE:A therapeutic agent for cancers and other diseases. PREPARATION:For example, human lymphoma cells are cultured in a medium to allow the products in the culture mixture and the culture mixture is centrifuged to separate the supernatant. The supernatant is concentrated and subjected to ion exchange chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography and other operations to purify the products whereby the objective T-cell activation factor is obtained. |
