ARTICLE, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING CASING DEPLETION The invention involves a casing article including a tubular core member and a length of shirred casing engaged about the core. The article further includes means for releasably anchoring a trailing end of the casing to the core so that movement of the trailing end can be taken as a true indication of the depletion of casing. A method and sensor arrangement for detecting depletion of the casing using the article are also disclosed.
