<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the addition of reducing agent, metallic oxide, etc., and to improve the reaction efficiency for metal treatment by dividing the surface part of metal bath in a furnace into the plural reaction regions by partition wall and forming additive storing spaces on the upstream side in the molten metal circulating flow. CONSTITUTION:The partition walls 8a, 8b are arranged in the furnace 2 to divide into the plural reaction regions. The partition walls 8a, 8b are arranged as dipping only at the upper part of the metal bath 1. The molten metal is shifted from a first reaction region I for carburizing region to a second reaction region II for reduction region as creeping down below the partition wall 8a and further is shifted to the first reaction region I as creeping down below the partition wall 8b, and so it is circulated. The partition walls for additive storing spaces 9a, 9b and additive outlets 11a, 11b adjoining the partition walls 8a, 8b respectively are arranged and the additive storing spaces 10a, 10b are formed at the upstream side of molten metal flow in every regions I, II. By this mechanism, added raw materials are adequately contacted with the molten metal and carburization and reducing reaction are efficiently executed.</p> |
