PURPOSE:To make it possible to securely print with a uniform thin ink film even in the case of using an intermediate-viscosity ink, by setting the relief depth of a relief printing plate to an appropriate value. CONSTITUTION:An ink 6 having a viscosity of 2000-50000cP is loaded into recessed parts 2a,...2a of an intaglio printing plate 2. Then, the ink 6 is transferred onto the surface of a relief printing plate 3a set on a form cylinder 3. The ink 6 is then transferred onto the surface of a printing material 4 to form a thin-film print layer 5 having a thickness of 0.5-3.0mum. The relief depth (d) is set in the range of 0.05-0.5% based on the sum of the outside diameter phiof the form cylinder 3 and times the thickness (t) of the relief printing plate 3a. Accordingly, distortion generated in the intaglio printing plate 2 can be minimized, the ink 6 can be easily transferred uniformly onto the relief printing plate 3a, and the thin ink film can be securely printed even in the case of using an intermediate-viscosity ink. |
