PURPOSE:To enable a recording electrode to keep a constantly stable contact condition with a recording medium, by a method wherein the surface of the printing recording medium is cleaned with a cleaning brush before a recording head is brought into pressure contact with the printing recording medium. CONSTITUTION:After the surface of a printing recording medium 3 fed in a direction of the arrow is cleaned with a cleaning brush 2, a needle electrode 1 is brought into pressure contact with the printing recording medium 3 to apply an image electric signal thereto; corresponding to the image electric signal, an ink layer in the printing recording medium is transferred to a transfer paper 4 to conduct a printing recording. The brush is preferably made of fluororesin or nylon resin having a wire diameter ranging from 10mum to 500mum. The fiber length of the brush ranging from 10mm to 30mm is especially preferable because it enhances a cleaning efficiency due to the rigidity of the fiber. The brush of brush roll shape is desirably used, but that of plate shape may be also used. In this manner, foreign particles such as dust or dirt on the surface of the printing recording medium are removed, thus a good contact condition can be kept between the needle electrode and the printing recording medium. |
