PURPOSE:To enable a necessary compression ratio to be attained easily by inserting an inner piston into the central cylinder hole of an outer piston, putting both pistons in link motion by means of a spring interposed therein and connecting a piston rod end to the inner piston. CONSTITUTION:An outer piston 2 is slidably inserted in a cylinder 1 and an inner piston 4 is slidably inserted in a cylindrical hole 3 provided in this outer piston 2. A coil-shaped spring 5 is loosely inserted in an inner hollow 8 of this inner piston 4, and this is interposed between the inner wall projecting piece 6 of the inner piston 4 and the lower side projecting piece 7 of the outer piston 2. Also, a coil-shaped spring 10 is interposed between a stopping piece 9 projecting downward from and connecting to the lower end of the inner piston 4 and the projecting piece 7. And the tip of a piston rod 12 is rotatably attached to a boss 11 projectingly arranged in the inner hollow 8 of the inner piston 4 by a pin 13. |
