Word processing system for arabic cursive script - has data processor ensuring that typing errors are minimised, by not permitting certain combinations

Arabic script consists of: individual characters, joined pairs of characters, longer cursive series of characters and other miscellaneous characters, e.g. numerals, abbreviations, mathematical signs and accents. The present system has an input keyboard (3), processor (1), VDU (4), printer (6), external input/output circuit, (7), volatile memory (2) and magnetic disc data storage (5). The processor does not allow certain combinations of characters to be displayed or printed in cursive form. In a similar way, it does not allow characters to be printed on their own if they may only be correctly used in cursive script. Also it only permits accent marks on appropriate characters.
