PURPOSE:To improve a printing quality, by a method wherein a printing head is provided with an angle adjustment means adjusting an angle of a printing head abutting against a platen. CONSTITUTION:When an angle adjustment means rotates a joint arm plate 52 clockwise or counterclockwise, a front rail shaft 43 moves continuously forward or backward due to an eccentricity Y of an eccentric cam 47, 48 and also a carriage frame 9 shifts integrally there with forward or backward. This shift changes a relative distance Y between a head case hold pole 15 and a platen 8. Therefore, an angle theta of a printing head 31 abutting against the platen 8 is decreased as the relative distance is decreased; the angle theta is increased as it is increased. In this manner, the fine adjustment of the contact angle of an armature is made possible, thus the dot to be transferred on a recording paper can be adjusted to be uniform in size. |
