PURPOSE:To record information on both the sides of a floppy disk without deteriorating mutual information by alternately forming respective circular tracks on both the recording surface of the floppy disk. CONSTITUTION:The positioning of magnetic heads 5, 6 is differentiated so that the circular tracks 10 on a front face 3 are shifted from the circular tracks 11 on a rear face 4 by 1/2 track, i.e. 50mum. Thereby, the circular tracks 10 on the front face 3 are opposed to the guard bands 13 of the rear face 4 just back to back and the circular tracks 11 on the rear face 4 are also opposed to the guard bands 12 of the front face 3 just back to back. Namely, the circular tracks 10 on to front face 3 and the circuit tracks 11 on the rear face 4 are alternately set up without being overlapped. In order to record information on both the front and rear faces 3, 4 of the floppy disk 1, either on of two magnetic heads 5, 6 is optionally selected to record the information on a required track. |
