摘要 PURPOSE:To contrive accomplishment of a higher efficiency by extending the length of optical path in an amorphous film as well as to improve the yield of production by a method wherein the surface, where a photovoltaic generating element of a translucent substrate is formed, and the surface reverse to said surface is formed into an irregular one, and a light reflecting film is formed by adhering it to said irregular surface. CONSTITUTION:The incident light 5 came in through an incident side transparent electrode 15 is partially absorbed into an amorphous film 14. At this time, the transmitted light which is not absorbed reaches an irregular surface 11a through a translucent substrate 11. At this point, said light is scattered by the light reflecting film 12 formed on the irregular surface 11a, and the light is made incident on the amorphous film 14 passing through the translucent substrate 11 and the substrate-side transparent electrode 13 again. Said light is scattered by the irregular surface 11a, and as it has not only a molecule vertical to the translucent substrate 11 like an incident light 5, but also various directivities, its length of optical path is long, a number of optical carriers can be generated, and photoelectric current can be increased. Besides, as the amorphous film 14, which is a thin film, is formed on the flat substrate-side transparent electrode 13, the leak at junctions can be reduced exceedinly when compared with what have been heretofore in use.
