PURPOSE:To improve the charge and discharge capacity of a battery by adding anion exchange resin in the active material of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:During the discharge of a lead-acid battery the positive electrode plate is electrified to negative, and during the charging period the negative electrode plate is electrified to negative. By adding anion exchange resin in the electrode plate, only anions can be transmitted selectively through the electrode and cations cannot be reached to the electrode. Therefore, more amount of SO2-4 than that necessary for keeping the liquid amount can be fixed in the electrode to improve the charge and discharge capacity of the battery. |
