PURPOSE:To improve the recording speed with no increment of the electric power supply capacity by lowering the power supply voltage to prevent increment of power of the power supply when the number of black dots exceeds the prescribed value to have a load exceeding the stabilized region of the power supply. CONSTITUTION:When a recording command is delivered through a control line CNT, gates G1-GP corresponding to ''blacks'' are opened in response to the record information of a shift register SR. Then corresponding transistor switches T1-TP conduct at a recording head part 1, and therefore heating resistors R1-RP connected to the switches T1-TP conduct. Then the ''black'' is recorded at the part corresponding to the recording paper. The time width of the recording command is controlled to be set at the prescribed value at all times in case the number of record dots is less than the prescribed value and the full current is lower than the maximum rated current of a power supply part 3. When the number of record dots exceeds the prescribed value, the output voltage of the part 3 is lower than the rated voltage. Then the time width of the recording command is increased to lower the level of a required electric power. |
