The present invention relates to a duplex stainless steel with excellent surface quality, having low surface roughness after a process such as welding. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the duplex stainless steel with excellent surface quality comprises: 0.01-0.12 wt% of C, 1.5-10.5 wt% of Mn, 0.5-2.8 wt% of Cu, 0.1-1.2 wt% of Si, 16.0-23.0 wt% of Cr, 0.05-0.20 wt% of N, and the remainder consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities; and is characterized by being formed as a two-phase structure of ferrite and austenite, wherein a fraction of the ferrite is 4.0-45.0% and an average surface roughness (Ra) after tensile deformation is less than 0.7 μm. |
