Disclosed are an electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery including the same. The disclosed electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery comprises a lithium salt, an organic solvent, and organic perfluorinated ether compounds represented by the chemical formula 1: CF_3-R_1-O-CF_2-CHF-(CH_2)_n-CF_3, wherein R_1 is a C_1-C_10 alkylene group or a C_1-C_10 fluorinated alkylene group, and n is an integer of 0 to 10. An electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery according to the present invention is capable of improving capacity characteristics and lifetime characteristics of a lithium secondary battery including the electrolyte for the lithium secondary battery, and is capable of reducing low temperature resistance of the lithium secondary battery.
