Clip-on lid covers arrayed containers - projecting from apertured carrier plate

A carrier plate forming a basa or integral with a base has rows of apertures to receive elongated reaction vessels or test-tubes whose projecting ends are all covered by a removable lid fitted parallel with the carrier plate. Tongues with (non-interchangeable) different widths directed downwards from the lid have rear face cams for snapping into corresp. recesses in the carrier plate/base. The transparent lid has a grid of identifiable squares corresp. to the vessels below. ADVANTAGE - Multi-purpose carrier has readily removed lid which cannot be reversed during replacement.
