PURPOSE:To suppress the toe-out by specifying the relative relation among the line connecting the supporting point of a wheel supporter and the working force to a wheel, the axis of a longitudinal positioning member, and the vertical plane of a tire against the ground thereby specifying the arrangement of the longitudinal positioning member in a suspension on the side with no steering function. CONSTITUTION:The intersection point (g) between the line (l) connecting an insulator 5 above a strut 4 and the grounding point of a wheel 2 and the axis of a radius rod 9 in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle is determined. Next, the vertical plane P against the ground passing the point (g) is determined, and the intersection Q of the axis of the radius rod 9 in the vertical direction of the vehicle is determined. The inclination angle theta of the radius rod 9 is determined so that this intersection point Q is located on the axis of a front link 7, and the insulator 5 above the strut 4 is arranged inward a vehicle from the center of the wheel 2. According to this constitution, when a longitudinal force is applied to the wheel, the compliance steer is prevented from becoming toe-out. |
