PURPOSE:To improve a color forming property, raw preservability and the stability of a developed color image, by incorporating an electron donating dye precursor, a salicylic acid derivative having a substitutent or a metal salt thereof used as an electron acceptive compound and a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A recording material contains an electron donating dye precursor, a salicylic acid derivative having a substitutent or a metal salt thereof used as an electron acceptive compound and a compound represented by formula (I) (wherein A is an aromatic ring, R1 is an alkyl group or an aryl group and X is CO or SO2). The aromatic ring represented by a A in the formula (I) may be a monocyclic ring or a condensed ring and may have a substituent, and the alkyl group and aryl group represented by R1 respectively pref. have 1-20 carbon atoms and 6-20 carbon atoms and may have a substitutent. The compound represented by the formula (I) pref. has m.p. of 50 deg.C on higher and is pref. used in an amount of 10-200wt% to the electron acceptive compound. The electron acceptive compound is pref. used in an amount of 50-800wt% of the electron donating dye precursor. |
