PURPOSE:A lubricant, containing a mineral oil, graphite, water, surfactant and thickening agent as essential components at a specific ratio and capable of exhibiting lubricating effect without causing wrinkles, selvages, burrs, etc., even when the mold temperature is increased without fear of a fire and useful for hot forging. CONSTITUTION:A lubricant obtained by blending a base oil consisting of a mineral oil with (A) 5-20wt% graphite, (B) 1-10wt% water, (C) 3-15wt% any surfactant of anionic, cationic ampholytic and nonionic surfactants and (D) 0.3-3wt% thickening agent, e.g. CMC, hydroxymethyl cellulose, etc. |
