Resin for the manufacture of helical springs made of synthetic resin reinforced with fibres, especially glass fibres, of the type in which the spring consists of a core in which the fibres are substantially coaxial with the core, around which core at least one sheath is wound, the fibres of which are inclined at approximately 45 DEG with respect to the fibres of the core, characterised in that the sheath is wound over a core which has already been shaped into the form of a spiral.
