A control lever for influencing a combustion engine and switches for functional elements and the external lighting are provided in the cockpit of an aircraft. In order that both the control lever and the switches can be operated quickly and easily, one or more switches are accommodated directly on the movable control lever (throttle lever, HOTAS - hand on throttle and stick concept), to be precise adjacent to a grip part of the control lever.
