A lawn edger comprises a housing (1) of substantially cylindrical form that encloses a driving motor unit (17). At its end, the housing (1) is formed with mountings for hub members (47, 67) on which ground engaging wheels (2, 3) are rotatably mounted. The motor unit (17) has an armature shaft (46) one end of which projects from the housing. The projecting end carries a rotary cutter assembly (6) driven by the motor and including a plurality of cutting fingers (74). A guide (7) is secured to the ground wheel (2) at one end of the housing (1) and rotates therewith. |
