<p>According to a process for producing plastic components with toothed profiles, such as toothed segments or toothed gears, a semi-finished product is stretched under pressure. In order to achieve a specially high elongation or stretch of the material, the opposite zone of the predetermined teeth is also embossed. When a tooth is embossed on the main side, a depression is simultaneously impressed on the opposite zone at the same spot. The depressions formed on the main side create on the opposite side a protrusion between the teeth. Amounts of material having approximately the same volume are pressed in the spacing between the teeth, on the main side of the semi-finished product and on its opposite side (offset by half the spacing).</p> |
