Laundry articles hung for drying on a four-armed laundry-drier spider are to be safely protected against dirt and rain. This is achieved by means of an extension bar (6) which can be fastened, especially glued to the upper standing-leg end (10), and a rectangularly cut plastic foil (7) which is fastened at two of its mutually opposite edges to rods, especially aluminium tubes (8, 9), which have a length corresponding to the spacing between two adjacent swung-out arm ends (2, 4; 3, 5) of the spider and which are fastened at their ends to the four arm ends (2-5) of the spider by means of easily releasable fastening members. <IMAGE>
