A fire-fighting appliance consisting of a fire-extinguishing blanket, comprising a bag (3) in the form of a cover inside which the blanket (4) is stowed, and means provided to suspend the bag (3) by its upper extremity (3a) independently of the blanket (4), characterized in that the bag (3) is open at its lower extremity (3c) and in that the fire-extinguishing blanket (4) is maintained inside this bag (3) by pincer-like means (5 ; 15, 16) acting on it by nipping the upper extremity (3a) of the bag (3) against the blanket (4). |
