PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article management system that can efficiently manage articles.SOLUTION: A article management device 130 includes: a first communication unit; a first wireless-device specification unit; a first operation unit; a notification-device specification unit; a first sending processing unit, and a display device 160. The first communication unit communicates with a notification device 120, which executes a notification operation by issuing a signal. The first wireless-device specification unit specifies a wireless device 110 within a specific distance range from a specific position. The first operation unit receives a selection operation selecting the wireless device specified by the first wireless-device specification unit. The notification-device specification unit specifies a notification device corresponding to the wireless device selected through the selection operation received by the first operation unit. The first sending processing unit sends a first notification signal for causing the notification device specified by the notification-device specification unit to execute a notification operation through the first communication unit. The display device executes a notification operation if it has received the signal from the notification device specified by the notification-device specification unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
