The invention relates to a hydrostatic drive device including a hydraulic working cylinder with a long stroke which is composed of a cylinder in which a piston slides in a sealed manner, the working cylinder being connected to a hydraulic unit preferably operating with adjustable pressure. The device is characterised in that the working cylinder 1 includes a coaxial guide piston 17 which can carry out a reciprocating translational movement in the internal volume of the piston or "main piston" 13 and in that, to give sealed guidance by this guide piston 17, the main piston 13 is provided, at its corresponding end, with a gasket 20 and with a guiding part 19.
